2026 Goldstein Christmas & Hanukkah Card Design Competition
Invitation for Ormond Primary School Students to Participate in the 2026 Goldstein Christmas and Hanukkah Card Design Competition
Ormond Primary School has been contacted by Tim Wilson, our federal member for Goldstein, to participate in their yearly Christmas & Hanukkah Card Design Competition.
Each year, the Goldstein Electorate Office sends 65,000 joint Christmas and Hanukkah cards to households across Bayside, Glen Eira and Kingston.
It is a tradition of our community to use this card as an opportunity to celebrate young local artists and provide local primary school students the opportunity to design the cover of the card and have their artwork celebrated by their school, neighbours and wider community.
Students are invited to submit entries on the template, drawing an image meaningful to them on the theme of this year: Christmas / Hanukkah In My Neighbourhood.
From the entries received, finalists will be selected. Two winners will be chosen, one for Christmas and one for Hanukkah. The winners will have their artwork appear on each side of the card's external covers, with additional honourable mentions to feature inside the card. Judging will be conducted by a local panel of artists as well as Tim Wilson. Winners will each receive a book prize, and finalists will receive certificates at a morning tea for finalists, family members and friends, as well as teachers.

To allow for judging and printing, entries must be received by 5pm, 30 October 2026.

Alternatively you can drop in your entry to the front office and we will deliver them on your behalf. If you choose this option all entries must be provided to us no later than Wednesday 28 October.
