Book Week Update

A few weeks ago (week 7), Ormond Primary School celebrated Book Week. Some activities we did included designing shortlisted book covers, reading shortlisted books, and lots of other fun activities. 

We had the Book Parade on Friday 28 August, it was very exciting. 

The winners of the best costume awards were announced at assembly last week.

National Indigenous Literacy Day

Ormond Primary School recognised Indigenous Literacy Day with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation which was on Wednesday 02 September. It’s a national celebration of First Nations peoples’ stories, cultures and languages. 

This year’s theme is Country Is Our Teacher.  Indigenous Literacy Day is a national celebration of First Nations peoples’ stories, cultures and languages.
