Mr Grecea

Hi everyone! I’m Mr G. This will be my seventh year at POPS, and I already know it’s going to be another fantastic year of learning, laughter, and growth. I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and full of opportunities to challenge ourselves, and in our classroom we celebrate mistakes as part of the journey while approaching every new experience with a growth mindset.

My goal is to help my students discover new strengths, build confidence, and continue becoming the very best version of themselves, and I’m here to support them, cheer them on, and help them thrive every day.

A few things I love include tennis, snowboarding, Formula 1, cooking, sushi, ramen, family, friends, and of course, teaching.

I grew up in the beautiful Yarra Valley with my family, and after completing my teaching studies I moved closer to Chirnside Park. I now live with my fiancé, Sam, and our two very cute cats, Pippy, who is an impressive 19 years old, and Neddy, who keeps us entertained at just 4.

I’m a bit of a homebody and love spending time doing things around the house. Some of my favourite hobbies include building Lego sets, playing board games with friends, going for walks, and doing strength training at the gym. I also enjoy cheering on the Geelong Cats, reading anything by Agatha Christie, and watching Lord of the Rings.

I’ve been teaching for the past seven years across a range of year levels, including Prep, 3/4 and 5/6. I’ve loved every class I’ve taught, and each year level has brought new challenges, new learning, and plenty of joy. In my classroom, I encourage students to bring their interests and curiosity into their learning, especially in science and literacy, which are two of my favourite areas to teach.
