COLOUR RUN

Our Colour Run was a happy celebration, with students finishing the course covered in colour and full of smiles. We were blessed with perfect weather and a fantastic turnout of parent helpers.

A big thank you to Adrian Nyariri from Jellis Craig, our main sponsor, for hosting the event and sharing our amazing fundraising total of $25,000. We really appreciate our generous community for helping us move forward with the next stage of our Indigenous Sensory Garden.

We also want to sincerely thank Alison (Jack & Ben) and Felicity (Edie) for all their hard work behind the scenes. Their dedication made sure the event was fun, positive, and memorable for our students and families.

The day ended on a high note with students happily sliming teachers, including Mrs Bullen and me, making for a joyful finish to a fantastic event.

Congratulations to Lyla and Alfie B, who raised the most money for the school. They were excited to win a new bike and tickets to see Melbourne Phoenix. It was an amazing effort and very well deserved.

HARMONY DAY

Yesterday, the entire school joined a multi-age Tribes session. These groups meet twice each term to take part in activities that reflect our school values of Kindness, Excellence, Respect, and Integrity. Each group is led by our Year 6 students and supported by a teacher.

This week, we focused on Harmony Day and learning about celebrating cultures and also racism. Students heard a story All are Welcome (start at 25 sec) about inclusion and the idea that everyone is welcome here.

We encourage families to keep these conversations going at home by talking about diversity, respect, and why it’s important to speak up if they hear unkind words, accent mimicry, or racist language.

STUDENT ACHEIVEMENTS

Darcy C (3/4O): Darcy received the Joey Scout Challenge Award, the highest honour for Joey Scouts (ages 5–8), recognising exceptional effort, leadership and personal growth. To earn it, she led activities for younger Joeys, completed her own projects, and even organised a three‑hour bush hike in the rain. A remarkable achievement, well done, Darcy.

On Saturday, our POPS Choir will perform on the main stage at 11:45am. If you’re visiting the festival, we encourage you to stop by the students’ stall and show your support, and to cheer on our wonderful choir.
