Yr 1/2 Swimming Program

Well done to the Yr 1 and Yr 2 students for completing their Swimming and water safety program at Leisurelink.  Students learnt so much throughout the program as well as becoming more independent with changing and packing their swimming gear.  Thankyou to all those families for helping prepare your child for swimming, setting them up for success.

Yr 3/4 Swimming Program

Year 3 and 4 students had a fantastic time during their swimming program. They demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout and approached each session with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Students practiced a variety of swimming strokes and enjoyed activities such as diving to retrieve sinkies. On the final day, they celebrated their progress with some fun games including Marco Polo, diving for sinkies and some friendly races in the lanes. It was wonderful to see their confidence and skills grow across the program.

Yr 5/6 SUMMER Lightning Prem

So proud of these wonderful students who showed great sportsmanship, a keen desire to do their best and great collaborative work during Teeball Lightning Prem for Torquay College. The rain held off, the day was windy and Bart (parent helper), Jack (ES) and Yvette Swan (teacher) just watched the students improve with each game. Torquay Firsts won all 4 games and have to play off Christian College first week, Term 2 to see who will progress further into the comp. Torquay Seconds won one game. Thank you to all who came and supported on the day.

Volleystars competition hosted here at Torquay College in our amazing stadium. Of our 4 teams that competed, we had the Yr 6 boys and a Yr 6 girls team winning their sections. We are so proud of our 4 Volleystars teams and grateful to the amazing parent helpers.

Our 3 cricket teams, Boys A, Boys B and Girls had a fun, and very windy, time at the Lightning Prem competition. Both boys teams had some great hit-outs against strong opposition. Our boys teams consistently impressed with their positivity, teamwork, sportsmanship and cricket skills. There were some awesome individual performances with the bat, multiple near hattricks with the ball, a couple of Schweppes classic catches and great fielding intensity. A marvellous effort that! As for the girls, here’s what coach Ben had to say:

Girls were brilliant today. Played a high standard, winning 2 out of 3 and only going down by 5 runs against the first placed team that won all 3 games. It was so evenly matched game. I was super impressed by their positive attitude and encouragement of each other and fair play. Really enjoyed helping out again. These girls can play! Ben (Esther’s Dad)

Teddy Bears Picnic

Our annual Teddy Bears picnic was another great success in 2026. Foundation students and their buddy's had a great time socialising with their families and siblings.  A last second rain front moved our picnic into the stadium, thankyou to all our families for your flexibility and positivity around this event.
