VET Careers Expo: Exploring Pathways, Inspiring Futures

On Thursday 29th May, students attended the VET Careers Expo at Broadmeadows Town Hall to explore vocational education and training opportunities.

Throughout the day, students engaged with a wide range of industry professionals, explored potential career opportunities, and gathered detailed information on apprenticeships, traineeships, and TAFE courses across sectors such as hospitality, construction, health, and community services.

The event provided a valuable platform for students to ask questions, refine their career aspirations, and gain clarity on the skills and qualifications required in various industries.

We commend our students for their respectful conduct, curiosity, and active participation. Experiences such as this play a crucial role in supporting informed decision-making and future planning.

Exploring Future Pathways at Torrens University

On Tuesday 17th June, our students had the exciting opportunity to head into the city and visit Torrens University, a leading institution known for delivering high-quality vocational and higher education programs. Torrens offers a broad range of courses—both online and on campus—spanning from undergraduate to postgraduate and research degrees across various academic disciplines.

Students were given a guided tour of the modern university campus and attended a presentation introducing them to how the university operates, what makes it unique, and the many pathways it offers. It was an inspiring session that gave our students insight into university life, flexible learning options, and the many careers and industries connected to the programs offered at Torrens.

After the presentation, students had the chance to get hands-on with creative workshops. They participated in either a "Design a Tiny House" or "Design a Holiday" activity, encouraging problem-solving, innovation, and design thinking—all while showcasing some of the creative courses available at the university.

The excursion sparked great discussions and opened students’ eyes to future study options. A big thank you to the team at Torrens University for hosting such a welcoming and informative experience!
