WORLD MIGRANTS AND REFUGEE DAY - SUNDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
The 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, offers us an opportunity to reflect on the connections between hope, migration and mission. The theme Migrants are missionaries of hope was chosen by Pope Francis and emphasises the resilience and hope that migrants and refugees need to embrace as they journey into the unknown. Pope Leo also reminds us of the need for hope, “In a world darkened by war and injustice, even when all seems lost, migrants and refugees stand as messengers of hope. Their courage and tenacity bear heroic testimony to a faith that sees beyond what our eyes can see and gives them the strength to defy death on the various contemporary migration routes.”
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY - TUESDAY 7TH OCTOBER
We begin term 4 with the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. This is a special day for Holy Rosary; it is a time that we all come together to celebrate how special our school is. As the Church recalls and celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, we as a school community attend mass in honour of Our Lady and the naming of our school. We also mark this special occasion by blessing and handing out Rosary beads to all new students to the school. Through this action we hope that all students learn to know Mary and her power of intercession. Mary who said ‘Yes’ to God, also says Yes to us through prayerful thought of the Most Holy Rosary.
