Principal's Report

As we come to the end of Term 3, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our students, staff, and families for another wonderful term at Holy Rosary. It has been a busy and rewarding few months filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. I hope the upcoming holidays provide everyone with a well-earned opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy the warmer weather that is beginning to arrive.
Looking ahead, Term 4 promises to be an exciting and memorable way to conclude the school year. We begin with Grandparents and Special Friends Day and the celebration of our Feast Day – Our Lady of the Rosary – on Tuesday 7th October. The day will commence with Mass in the church, followed by open classrooms, providing a wonderful chance for families and friends to share in the life of our school community.
In the second week of Term 4, we will hold our Learning Conversations. These important discussions provide students, teachers, and families with the opportunity to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and set clear goals as we move towards the end of the year. I encourage all families to participate, as these conversations are an invaluable way of supporting your child’s learning journey.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff. Their commitment, care, and professionalism continue to make Holy Rosary a place of learning, growth, and community. Each day I see the difference they make in the lives of our students, and I know that their hard work this term has been deeply appreciated by all.
The school holidays also bring with them the excitement of the footy finals. We extend our best wishes to Mr Morris and Miss Deary, who are both participating in grand finals this week in their respective sports. I’m sure the whole community joins me in wishing them luck. Personally, I’ll be nervously watching and cheering on the Cats tonight!
Looking further ahead, Catholic Education Sandhurst (CESL) is currently in the process of appointing a new principal for Holy Rosary, who will commence in 2026. This is an important step in shaping the future of our school. We anticipate that the appointment will be finalised early in Term 4. Your input through the feedback survey circulated earlier is vital in this process, and I thank those who have already contributed their thoughts and insights.
We are planning the set up for the 2026 school year and would appreciate families who may be leaving Holy Rosary to let us know as soon as possible. We understand that some have chosen to accept provisional enrolment at another school and appreciate being informed to aide our planning. This advanced notice supports not only our organisation for 2026 but the transition of students to other settings.
As we close Term 3, I wish all families a safe, restful, and joyful holiday break. Thank you once again for your support, trust, and commitment to our school community. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final chapter of the year, which promises to be a time of celebration, achievement, and togetherness.
