Dear Families,

As I sit here writing this article there is only a little over 1 day of term remaining. So much has happened this term, with many exciting events happening this week to conclude the term. The swimming program was extremely well attended last week and reports back from students have been very positive regarding the week of lessons. I attended the pool on Tuesday and saw everyone highly engaged in their lessons. Water safety is such a crucial part of the students' education and the importance of it cannot be over emphasised.

Parent Teacher Conferences: It has been wonderful to be a part of many Student Support Group meetings and Parent Teacher Conferences this week where there was an opportunity to celebrate the students' achievements as well as discussing individual learning goals and priorities for next term. Thank you to all the parents and family members who scheduled appointments and were able to attend these meetings. They are an extremely important part of our assessment and reporting processes and provide valuable information both to and from families to further strengthen our partnership in supporting the students learning.

Times Tables Rock Stars: Today a huge amount of students came dressed up as 'rock stars' to celebrate our school tournament on the Times Tables Rock Stars platform. All classes from Year 1 to Year 6 participated in a 15 minute challenge where thay had to answer age appropriate multiplication and number facts as quickly as possible. Correct answers contributed to an overall class score, with there being a class winner in the junior and middle/senior areas of the school. Students have been practsising tirelessly in preparation for this event.

There was also face painting available at recess as part of the dress ups - which was extremely popular, as can be seen below.

Teeth on Wheels

This year we have the 'Teeth on Wheels' dental van coming to visit the school from Thursday 23rd April. Consent forms have now been sent off in preparation for the visit. Late consent can still be sent to school, or completed online. Paper consent forms sent to school will be scanned and emailed through to the Teeth On Wheels administration staff in preparation for their visit at the beginning of next term.

Please contact the school if you have any questions regarding the program and/or visit.

I would like to wish everyone a safe, enjoyable and well deserved break over the next two weeks. We look forward to seeing everyone returning refreshed on Monday 20th April in preparation for another busy term of learning.
