Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program

A very busy term at St Francis, with so many exciting events means a few adjustments for our SAKG program. 

 

This week was our first cooking session with our senior students preparing a delicious menu of homemade Fettuccini, a Roasted Carrot and Tomato sauce and a delicious Garlic and Herb Focaccia. 

Our juniors made yummy Orange and Ricotta Pancakes, with many of them asking for the recipe.

As always, we couldn't have this wonderful program without the support of our wonderful volunteers. 

 

We are also gearing up to get our garden ready for spring, with lots of planting, propagating and learning about pollination. We have a couple of garden projects we'd like to do but are in need of old children's gumboots and used tins - see image below.
