Welcome Back to Term 1 – A Joyful Start to the Year
Welcome back to another exciting year at Sacred Heart Primary School. We hope all our families enjoyed a restful and joyful school holiday break, filled with time to rest, recharge, reconnect, and create special memories together.
A very special welcome to our new Foundation students and their families. We are absolutely delighted to have you join our Sacred Heart community. The children have settled beautifully into school life, showing confidence, enthusiasm and a genuine happiness to be here. Our classrooms and playgrounds have been filled with laughter, curiosity and positive energy, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.
As we begin the year together, we do so with hope, gratitude and excitement for the learning, friendships and opportunities that lie ahead. May this year be filled with kindness, curiosity, joy and a deep sense of belonging for every member of our community.
2026 School Theme: 'Together, We Grow'
As we begin the 2026 school year, I am pleased to share our whole school theme with our Sacred Heart community: Together, We Grow. This theme has been shared with staff, who have explored it with students across the school.
Together, We Grow reflects our strong belief that children learn and thrive best within a caring, connected and collaborative community. It reminds us that learning, wellbeing and faith are strengthened through relationships, shared responsibility and working together.
Inspired by the story Swimmy by Leo Lionni, our theme encourages students to value teamwork, kindness and the unique strengths each person brings to our community.
Throughout 2026, Together, We Grow will guide our approach to teaching, learning, wellbeing and relationships as we continue to nurture each child’s growth and celebrate the strength of our Sacred Heart community.
Parent Teacher Conversations
Parent Teacher Conversations for Foundation to Year 6 will be held on Wednesday 11th February. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, share insights, and work together to support their learning and wellbeing. Details on how to book appointments online via the School Interview app have been sent to families via email.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.
Warmest wishes,
Antoniette
