Foundation
What a wonderful start to the year by our magnificent Foundation students who have settled in remarkably well and completed their first full week!
We Discovered the Playground, and then we discovered DISCOVERY!!
Library with Prem!
Not only did we discover the playground and discovery but we also found the best room in the school (apart from ours!) ....the library! It's the first time we explored this space and we were sooo lucky to borrow a book and take it home in our new library bag. Wohoo!
Year 1
Welcome back, families!
We have had a wonderful first two weeks of learning as we settle back into the school year. It has been a joy getting to know the children.
We have especially enjoyed activities such as Circle time and Discovery learning, which you can see in the photos below. These experiences support curiosity, communication and collaboration as we build a strong classroom community. One of the photos also shows our Discovery resources being washed and prepared so they are ready to be enjoyed throughout the year.
I am really looking forward to connecting with families next week during Parent–Teacher Conversations, and to sharing your child’s learning journey with you as the year unfolds.
Thank you for your continued support, I’m excited for the year ahead!
Terri 😊
Year 2
Hello Families,
WELCOME to the new school year! It's been a fabulous start with our class settling down well with their friends and teachers. In these early days we are sharing stories about our holiday memories, what we know about ourselves, our families and friends. We have been exploring new class routines and rules that keep us safe. The class has been writing stories already and our classroom walls are quickly running out of space! Our class theme is based on the children's story 'Where the Wild Things Are". Like Max in that story, we look forward to a wild and adventurous fun filled year ahead. Ms.Liz
Year 3/4 AL and 3/4 T
Welcome back families and a very special welcome to Vincent (3/4 AL) and his family!
What a wonderful start to the school year we have had. Students have been reconnecting with friends, revisiting and revising school and classroom expectations. They have been busy getting to know their teachers and finding out more about each other through games and group activities. There has been a lot of collaboration between the two classes already and we can't wait to see the amazing learning that is going to unfold this year!
Abby, Lauren and Tess
The entire 3/4 cohort worked collaboratively to carefully craft our classroom agreement.
Our 3/4 Classroom Agreement:
We the classes of 3/4 at Sacred Heart will work together to create a happy classroom that is calm, safe and welcoming. A place where we can learn, grow friendships and have fun. We encourage, show kindness and respect towards each other.
