Presentation Evening Highlights

 

Our 2025 Presentation Evening was a wonderful celebration of achievement, talent, and community spirit. Guests were treated to a showcase of outstanding performances, including the Kororoit House Dancers, Blackwood Chorals Rockband, SCHS Chamber Choir, Orchestra, and Concert Band, offering an exciting glimpse into this year’s musical and dance highlights. 

 

The evening’s pinnacle was the presentation of our Academic and Colours Awards, along with the Bonitas Awards, Lifetime Alumni Award, and acknowledgements of our School Captain and Staff Long Service Award recipients as well as the much anticipated house cup.

 

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our families celebrating Diwali for sharing their special day with us as we came together to recognise the very best of Suzanne Cory High School.

2024 School Dux

We were also honoured to welcome back Ananya, our 2025 School Dux, who returned to receive her award and share some inspiring reflections with our school community.

 

Ananya spoke about her journey at Suzanne Cory, from feeling overwhelmed as a Year 9 student to becoming a confident achiever through persistence and self-belief. She reminded students that success isn’t about being perfect, but about growth, effort, and balance.

 

Reflecting on her own experiences, Ananya encouraged students to take care of themselves, embrace challenges, and make the most of every opportunity the school provides. Her message was clear: it’s okay to slow down, to make mistakes, and to ask for help, because those moments shape who you become.

 

Ananya is currently studying Biomedicine/Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, and we are incredibly proud of all she has achieved. We thank her for her heartfelt words and for continuing to inspire our community with her wisdom and humility.
