St Columba's Primary School
Hockey Roadshow
In PE, Grade’s 1-6 were fortunate to have a visit from Premier League players from MCC Hockey Club running classes for us. The students had a fantastic day learning new skills and games. If your child is interested in participating in weekly lessons, Hook in 2 Hockey runs each Monday after school at Elwood College.
Swimming Trials
Well done to the students from Grades 3-6 who competed in the St Columba’s swimming trials on Thursday. We will keep you informed about who goes through to the next stage representing our school at the Holt District Carnival to be held on Monday 16th of March.
St Columba’s Sports Day
Our Prep - Year 6 Sports Day is on Thursday 19th March.
The events will run from 9.45 am – 1.30 pm at Sandringham Athletic Track.
The students will participate in a variety of Athletic events to earn points for their House: Phillip (Blue), Ormond (Red) or Elster (Yellow).
The Year 6 leaders will be having team practices leading up to the day where they will lead their teams in chants and cheering.
During PE lessons we will be practicing field events and sprints in preparation for the day.
We need parent helpers on the day for various jobs so if you can help during the day, please let Anthea know – azimmerman@scelwood.catholic.edu.au
