Week 3 brought a big moment for our class — our very first visit with our Year 5 buddies in F15!

There was a real buzz of excitement as we walked over to the Ferguson building and climbed the stairs to meet our new friends. For many of the children, this was a moment filled with anticipation, curiosity and just a few happy butterflies.

Our first task was to practise being a “Super Introducer.” Each student shared their name and listened carefully to learn their buddy’s name in return. It was wonderful to see such thoughtful listening, brave speaking and respectful manners on display.

Together, we then settled in to enjoy a picture story book. Sharing a story helped break the ice and sparked some lovely conversations between buddies. Smiles were everywhere!

We can’t wait for our next buddy session!
