We love Thursdays!

I may sound a little biased but Thursdays are very special to us, as it is Libary day. But this week, we had the added excitement of our Art show! What a beautiful evening it was for everyone, not only do we have great readers/thinkers at our school but we also have such great artists!

This week, we explored another shortlisted book called Tiwi in Paris by Glen Farmer Illortaminni.  When Glen travels from his remote Tiwi Island home all the way to Paris, his trip takes an unexpected turn when he gets lost on his first night there. What follows is an epic journey through famous French landmarks and into the homes of kind strangers, telling an incredible story of resilience, humour and home. It is gorgeous picture book that brings together cultural exploration and travel adventure. And it's based on a true story!

Next week, we are going to decide on the movies for our Winter Movie night. The children will have a choice of two movies to pick from. On the night, Foundation to Year 2 will watch a movie of their choice and the Years 3 to 6 will watch one of their choice! Stay tuned.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge - Less than a month to completion!!

We have 61 children registered! A huge thank you to all our parents who have enabled this fantastic effort. 

The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 and aims to help young readers develop a lifelong love of reading. It is not a competition; it is a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by  Friday 4th  September, 2026.

Library sessions for 2026 will be held on Thursdays. Please kindly remind your child/children to return their books on the day.
