Loving God,
As we begin the month of August, we thank you for the many blessings in our lives and for the gift of our Sacred Heart community.
Help us to be kind, patient and generous with one another. May we always remember to look for those who need a helping hand, a listening ear or a caring heart.
Guide our students, staff and families throughout this month. Give us strength when things are challenging, joy in the moments we share, and courage to always choose what is right and good.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus guide us with love, compassion and peace.

Amazing Sacred Heart Art Show Art That Grows on You!🌱
What an incredible evening of creativity, colour and imagination! Our Art Show was a wonderful celebration of the talent, creativity and hard work of our students.
A very special thank you to Denise, our STEAM teacher, for her passion, creativity and dedication in bringing the Art Show to life. We also acknowledge Marie, who worked closely alongside Denise as part of our wonderful Art Team. We are so grateful for all the time, care and creativity they shared.
A special shout-out to our STEAM Leaders, Georgia and Ben, who embraced their leadership roles with such enthusiasm and pride.
Thank you to our amazing staff for their teamwork and the many hours of preparation behind the scenes, and to all our families and children who came along to support and celebrate our students.
It was wonderful to see so many proud smiles and happy faces. We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable celebration of Art That Grows on You!

🎉 Congratulations to Our Raffle Winners!
Congratulations to our raffle winners Henry, Lola (Terri), Tazlyn and Jazlyn.
A special congratulations to Ella, whose pamphlet was drawn from the Find the Artist entries.
Together, our raffle raised an incredible $368! Thank you to everyone who supported the Art Show and joined in the fun.
Road Safety Reminder
The safety of our students is everyone's responsibility. As we continue to experience busy drop off and pick up times, we kindly ask all families to observe the school zone speed limit and take extra care when driving near the school.
Please remember that children can cross the road unexpectedly, so your vigilance is greatly appreciated.

School Photo & Video Shoot 📸
On Thursday 20 August 2026, staff from MACS will be visiting Sacred Heart Primary School to take photographs and film our students and staff for promotional purposes.
The photographs and videos may be used on our new school website, social media accounts and other Sacred Heart Primary School promotional materials to showcase our wonderful school and support future enrolments.
Your child may appear in the photo and video shoot in a variety of settings, including:
- Question and answer sessions
- Small group settings with the Principal and other staff
- Larger group settings in the classroom or playground
All students are asked to wear their full winter school uniform on the day.
An email with further information will also be sent to all families.
If you do not wish your child to participate, please email astasi@shpreston.catholic.edu.au by Monday 17 August 2026.

Code of Conduct – Speaking with Students
A gentle reminder to all parents and families about the importance of speaking to our students in a respectful, calm and appropriate manner at all times.
If you have any concerns or would like to discuss a matter involving a student at Sacred Heart, please see me or speak with a staff member so we can support you appropriately.
