Campus Update – Williamstown
As we approach the end of Term 3, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, families and staff for another busy and successful term at our Williamstown campus.
The last day of Term 3 is Friday 18 September. I hope all our families have a safe, relaxing and happy break. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to take some time to rest, recharge and enjoy time together before we return for Term 4.
A reminder to families to please complete the
Parent Opinion Survey if you have not already done so. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve. Further details about the survey, including how to access it, were provided in a previous email to families.
Shelter in Place Emergency Drill
On Monday 7 September, our Williamstown campus conducted a Shelter in Place emergency drill as part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety.
The purpose of the drill was to practise our emergency procedures and ensure that students and staff are familiar with what to do should a situation arise where remaining safely inside the campus is the most appropriate response. These drills provide an opportunity for everyone to practise responding calmly, following instructions and moving to designated safe areas.
Regular emergency drills are an important part of maintaining a safe school environment. They help build confidence and ensure our procedures are well understood, while also allowing staff to identify any areas where our processes can be further strengthened.
We thank our students and staff for their cooperation and maturity throughout the drill.
Term 4 Commencement
A reminder that Day 1 of Term 4 is a PPD (Professional Practice Day), so students will not attend school on this day.
Students will return to school on Tuesday 6 October, which marks the commencement of Term 4.
Save the Date – College Awards
Please also mark Thursday 22 October in your calendars for our College Awards.
Families of students who are receiving an award will be contacted and invited to attend the ceremony. We look forward to celebrating the achievements and successes of our students with our school community.
