Spring Magic Market

Market Day is this Saturday!
Our school’s biggest event and fundraiser has finally arrived, the annual Spring Magic Market is this Saturday 12 September, from 2–8 pm. Invite your family and friends to come along - all are welcome.
Volunteer for a shift
We still have over 100 gaps on the roster and need volunteers to keep our stalls running. Shifts for adults are two hours in duration and one hour for senior students. Spots available on market day, including pack down on Saturday evening and Sunday midday. If you have been meaning to sign up, please do so today: volunteersignup.org/MXYXW
If you are a keen photographer, have your own camera and can take photos of the market – we would love to hear from you! Get in touch with Iva Tay at 0449623946 or iva_tay@hotmail.com
Last chance to buy early bird ride tickets
Early bird tickets for carnival rides and the petting zoo will end at 10am on market day. Buy your ticket today to save money, and skip the queue. Early bird tickets get you unlimited rides for 5 hours (2–7pm). Collect your wristband at the ticket stand. https://events.humanitix.com/spring-magic-market-2026-wristbands-for-rides-and-activities
Last call for donations
Cake & Treat Stalls: Contributions for the ever-popular cake and treat stalls are still needed. There is a cake stall station set up in the hallway of the main school building with cake boards, and cellophane for cake wrapping. If you are interested in making jams, preserves or curds etc, there are also some jars you can take.
Donations can be delivered to the school by midday, market day. Please include a list of ingredients on a label and use the sign-up sheets below:

Items we would like to borrow
The weather is forecast to be moderate and sunny on market day. To make the event comfortable for all ages and weather conditions, we would love to borrow the following items. Please email the market team if you can help market@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au
- Market umbrella with stand – drop it off anytime before market day, or if you need it picked up and live locally, contact Sarah Purcell on 0402240453 or at sarahvp@me.com
- Trestle tables – in clean condition, drop off at the school office
- 1x barbeque – in clean condition, drop off at the school office
You can pick these up at the end of the market, or on Sunday. Remember to write your name and mobile on it.
On the day tips
- Bring cash and coins – although there are EFTPOS machines in all the stalls, cash is quicker!
- The carnival games will need gold coins to play, so make sure to bring plenty.
- Write your mobile number on your child’s arm or wristband
- Head to the quiet zone for some respite in the SAJE transportables by the basketball court
- Bring a drink bottle
- Bring extra clothes – the rides can bring a whole lot of messy fun
- Give your kids a small amount of cash – so they circle back often, which provides an opportunity for you to check in with them
- Support our entertainers (and student talent) and save these set times in your phone:

Sustainability at the market
Please bring your own cups, plates and cutlery. A little waterproof bag and tea-towel are handy to have and easily fits in a small backpack.
Bring reusable water bottles, we will not be selling bottled water. There are taps and drinking fountains at the school for everyone to use.
Bins will be dotted around the school. Please encourage your kids to pay attention to the different types of bins.
- FOGO - food scraps only and compostable paper plates or wooden cutlery.
- 10c deposit scheme - bins will be labelled for the cans. This is extra fundraising for the school.
- Co-mingle recycling is for clean cardboard, paper and plastic.
- Landfill - dirty plates and cutlery, used serviettes.
Thank you for your time, talent and donations – the market would not be possible without your support!
If you would like to discuss anything with the market team, email market@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au
Yours sincerely, the SMM Committee – Iva, Vanessa, Sarah, Kirsty-Lee and Jo
