Sport update

Next term we will make the most of the warmer weather and head to the beach for some of our sport. We'll also focus on developing fundamental skills.
Our focus for the term will be on:
- Fitness Testing - beep, agility, 20m sprints, flexibility and core strength (Years 3-6)
- Ball skills - Soccer (Prep-Year 4) kicking, ball control and dribbling. Volleyball (Years 5-6) dig, serve, spike and set.
- Swimming - stroke (Prep) and open water (including CPR & first aid - Years 3-6).
- Jump Rope for Heart Program - whole school (check out Mr Heath's skills - he's a national skipping champion!).
Mountain Biking Medals
Congratulations to our Year 6 student, Hanna who has excelled in mountain biking. Despite having a fractured jaw, Hanna was unstoppable and competed in the All Schools Mountain Bike Series over the weekend!
Hanna participated in 5 out of the 7 races and won all 5 races in her category. As a result, she also won the overall racing category for the series.
She has really enjoyed visiting different mountain bike parks across Victoria and challenging herself on the various courses. It has been great to see how much she has enjoyed the series.
The cross-country mountain bike racing series took place over winter, and was organsied by School Sport Victoria and AusCycling.
