Luba Grigorovitch MP Visits

Visit 1: 8/5/2025

Our student leaders heard about Luba’s experiences in leadership and some of her motivations to become an MP.

When Luba was asking our students about issues they were experiencing our students raised the cost pressure on families for students to be travelling on public transport.

Luba shared her success in actioning the Public Transport initiative with Jacinta Allen so that students can ride for free from January 2026.

Music Concert 12/6/2025

If you were lucky enough to purchase tickets, and see the show, you will know how good the performances were this year.

Exams (Year 10 and Year 9)

Thank you to our Campus Leader James Inabinet and the year 9 and 10 Team Leaders for the setup and communication throughout the examination period. 

Our year 10s will complete semester 2 exams at Delahey.

Informative presentation on the laws around internet and social media use, violence and other matters prevalent in the community.

Year 10 Camp

Our campers arrived today and have been lucky with cold, but sunny conditions. James Inabinet with Fadi, Katie Bryne, Tina Tran and Moria Flores are leading our students.

They are settling in for two nights and will return on Wednesday.

Pasifika Family Night

Extremely well attended evening where we could have Pasifika leaders talk to their community and place education at the centre of their young people’s lives.

This event has strengthened our position within the community and further contributed to our Pasifika young people feeling valued at Copperfield College.

Buildings Update

• Administration

Staff room kitchen benches have been installed with appliances to be installed this week. Week. The carpet has been laid, and we are making variations to the plan to include more painting, pigeonholes to be together and the landing for the stairs external to the building to be improved.

• Early Learning Centre

Works continuing - We have been given confirmation that irrigation is included in the project. We will be provided with new cricket nets, long jump pits, newly turfed oval and small pergolas for shading when the site is returned to us.

• Planned maintenance program

They will set up their area with portable toilets near the basketball court behind the volleyball court and use the double gates on Gilespie road for access. The site establishment date is now Wednesday, 2nd July 2025. There works include re-pinning buildings, removal of rust and damage to walkways, sand and reseal parquetry floors replace some roofing of buildings.

• Other works

New Potts have been installed and planting to administration area. 

Boys L Team toilet repairs to the vinyl floor have been completed.
