Year 6 Parent Learning Walk/Classroom Visit

100 Days of Kindergarten

In Week 2, Kindy Blue & Kindy Gold celebrated the first 100 days of Kindergarten!  For our youngest learners, it’s been 100 days of wonder, of learning routines, letters, numbers, how to read, and how to be part of a learning community. It’s also been 100 days of building confidence, establishing friendships, sparking curiosity and cultivating resilience; the building blocks of lifelong learning. We cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds for these students and have loved watching them learn and grow

Fairy Garden Fence - Infants Playground

Look at this amazing transformation in the Infants Playground!

During the term 2 holidays and in her own time, Miss Marshall painted a drab section of fencing - turning it into a vibrant Fairy Garden 🪴 🌻🌷🌝 🦋background.

The K-2 students love it! We’re so thankful to our dedicated staff who go above and beyond.

Year 1 & 2 Geography Excursion

On Monday, Stage 1 students walked to Apex Park and Ron Harborne Oval to conclude our Geography unit for semester 1. Upon visiting these places, we discussed the different features of place, and identified the natural, constructed and managed components within that area. We also brainstormed ways we can care for and use places within our community. The students had a great day and loved playing and exploring.

Year 2 Dance

During Dance this term, Year 2 has been learning to tell stories and express emotions throughmovement and dance. The students have thoroughly enjoyed working in small groups to brainstorm, choreograph and perform their pieces of work to the class. Year 2 has also been busily practicing their sporting anthems dance routines to tracks including Eye of the Tiger and Let’s Get Loud! It has been so much fun getting our groove on!

Year 5 Line Dancing - CAPA

Year 5 are boot, scoot and boogying. As part of our Creative Arts unit for Term 3, we have been broadening our knowledge about different styles of dance with a particular focus on Line Dancing. Today was our first day lining up and scooting in time, the only thing we were missing were our Cowboy hats!

Year 4 Term 3 Spotlight

In English, we have explored the concept of ‘imagery and symbol’ through the use of the texts, Bindi by Kirli Saunders and Fire by Jackie French. Students produced some outstanding writing that included figurative language in the form of a free verse poem that evoked feelings or created images, while engaging the reader. Students constructed their poems either on paper or digitally and then presented them to the class, explaining their language choices and the feelings they hoped to evoke.
