Senior School Report

Mr Ernest Price, Head of Senior School

September in the Senior School

The last few weeks have been action-packed for our senior students, as they have worked to complete their 2024 studies and prepare for everything that they have to come in 2025. We have seen students make the most of extracurricular pastimes, and leading the school in a range of celebratory activities.

Emily, Ruby and Ineka had a go at the good old 3-legged race . . .
which was not for the faint-hearted . . .
. . .and was easier said than done.

Course selection

Students have worked hard to navigate their choices for their academic program in 2025. Whatever their decisions, students have much to look forward to as they take another step in their secondary schooling.

Examinations

Students in the Senior School will be undertaking examinations in the coming weeks. We encourage all students to tackle their preparation with enthusiasm, and to do everything they can to show how much they have grown throughout 2024.

Rites of passage

Senior students will soon be celebrating their achievements with the Year 10 Formal and the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner. We look forward to seeing students celebrate with friends and family.

Farewell and hello

The Senior School is very sad to farewell Lauren Walton, who has been our inspirational Year 10 Assistant Principal. She has built many connections with our senior students and staff. She will be missed – but there is some good news! Kate Blandford will be stepping into an Assistant Principal role in Term 4. A familiar face to many senior students, we look forward to learning from and with her.
