News from our Principal

Dear Parents,

Once again, welcome back! Term 4 has started strongly and we are already busy organising and planning some wonderful learning experiences and events that will engage the students, provide opportunities to celebrate success and finalise another successful year of learning at Our Lady of Fatima.

On Wednesday we welcomed our new Kinder families for 2026 at their first Kindergarten Orientation session. Their eagerness and excitement was contagious and it was delightful watching them meet each other and start to build relationships. It is hard to believe that we are at this stage of the year already!

In one of my Mentor Programs this year we have been exploring the concept of “hope”.  Hope has the power to provide resilience and elevate us to imaginatively pursue greater possibilities for ourselves and others. In this Jubilee Year of Hope, we are encouraged to embark on a spiritual journey of living with hope in our daily lives to support and revitalise our emotional wellbeing. We can do that by looking for “glimmers” in our daily lives.

Click on this link for an insight into what a glimmer is:

....... So what are glimmers?

Glimmers are small fleeting moments of joy, calm, connection or hope that signal a sense of safety and wellbeing.

Consistently noticing and savouring glimmers over time can create a shift in our nervous system, reinforcing a state of safety, connection and hope.

  • What glimmer have you personally experienced recently?

  • What's one small action you'll take to create or notice a glimmer this week?

I look forward to experiencing many more "glimmers" with you all before the year comes to an end!
