Athletics Carnival

Regrettably, due to saturated fields and the forecast of ongoing rain, the Athletics Carnival originally scheduled for Friday 15 May, has been postponed to 23 May.

We will feature this update in the Week 9 newsletter, and we encourage you to check our Facebook page for enjoyable snapshots as Year 12 concludes their final carnival.

Assistance is needed in the canteen on this day. If you or someone you know can spare a few hours starting from 11am please let us know. Thank you for your support.

The Athletics Carnival canteen menu is now open for online orders until 9am Friday. Students are strongly encouraged to pre-order using the Sentral Canteen app to help manage stock levels and minimise waste.

Touch Football

Our girls had an enjoyable day participating in the open touch football event in Armidale on 11 April. They performed commendably, winning one game and narrowly losing three others. The standout try scorers were Ava Mitchell and Elly Butler, with Ava also being awarded the Players' Player. We extend our gratitude to Dylan Sattolo for his assistance in driving the bus and officiating the matches.

Tennis Clinic

Students in Years 7 and 8 participated in a Tennis Clinic organised by Tennis NSW at the end of Term 1. This initiative was made possible through the Sporting Schools grant from the NSW Government, which aims to increase student engagement in sports. The students enjoyed the opportunity to develop new skills while participating in modified games. We would like to express our gratitude to the Tenterfield Tennis Club for graciously allowing us to use their facilities.

CHS Swimming

Congratulations to our students who represented Tenterfield High School at the NSWCHSSA Secondary Swimming Championships in Sydney. Many of our athletes achieved personal best times. Notably, Annie Potter qualified for the 50m freestyle final. Although she did not place in the race, she delivered a commendable performance.

Congratulations to Blair, Alex, Tom, and Beau for earning a Bronze medal in the open invitational handicap relay at the NSWCHSSSA Secondary Swimming Championships in Sydney on 9 April!

The team is scheduled to return to Sydney on May 22 to participate in the finals. We will provide updates on their performance through Facebook.
