Science

Year 10 Science Fun!

Yesterday Mr Clay's Year 10 science class got hands-on with genetics by creating DNA strands using Lollie's! Students learned about the structure of DNA and its importance in genetics while indulging their sweet tooth!

Using different coloured lollies to represent the bases, they built their own models of the double helix structure. It was a delicious way to visualise complex concepts!

Industrial Technology

Mr. Sproule's Year 9 and 10 students have been diligently crafting their coffee tables during Term 2. Take a look at some of their impressive work!

Biology

Mr Douglas's Year 11 Biology students are diving into the fascinating world of transport systems!  They're exploring how cells specialise to perform specific functions, with a focus on the heart. Through their studies, they're discovering the unique features of cardiac muscle cells that allow for efficient pumping, as well as how blood vessels are designed to support circulation. They're also learning about the incredible role of red blood cells in oxygen transport!

Visual Arts

Our Year 11 visual art students have produced a series of portraits inspired by various Modernist movements. The projects showcase influences from Fauvism, Cubism, Expressionism, and Pop Art. We commend their creativity and effort in crafting these exceptional works—congratulations to all!
