Sister-School Exchange
Visit of lycée Felix Le Dantec
Over the past two weeks, we were fortunate to welcome students and teachers from our French sister school, Lycée Félix Le Dantec, in Brittany.

On Saturday 7 February, 19 students and two teachers arrived at Nossal and were warmly hosted by our students.
During their stay, our French guests experienced everyday life in Australia by living with host families, attending classes, and spending time with their Nossal buddies. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect, communicate, and build friendships across cultures.
Throughout the week, they participated in a range of activities, including a visit at Healesville Sanctuary, an aboriginal cultural walk and talk and class observations. French students accompanied their buddies to lessons and immersed themselves in Australian school life, attending subjects such as PE, Business Management, Biology, Literature, and they even baked ANZAC biscuits in food tech!

The French students and teachers were officially welcomed at a whole-school assembly. During the assembly, they performed the Fest Noz dance, a traditional dance from Brittany. It was an incredible experience to witness and a special way to celebrate their culture with our school community. After the assembly, many Nossal students joined in to learn the dance, creating an amazing vibe in the yard!
To conclude their visit, the French students and their Nossal buddies enjoyed an excursion into the city, visiting the Immigration Museum, Parliament House, and Fitzroy Gardens.

It was truly a valuable and memorable experience to spend time with and get to know our sister school community.
A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers, students, and parents who made this exchange possible!
