3-6 Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday we held our annual years 3-6 Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic day with great effort and sportsmanship on display.

All students participated in 7 events; 100m, 200m, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, shot put and discus. They did a great job of demonstrating what they have been practicing in PE and Sport for  the last few weeks. It was lovely to see their joy when they were competing. Some students also competed in the 800m and relay races. The atmosphere during the relay races was amazing with students, staff and parents all cheering so loudly for their house!

A huge thank you to the parent volunteers who worked tirelessly on the day measuring, timing and recording. Without your assistance, we could not run our carnival and we are beyond grateful for you giving up your time to assist. The day ran so much smoother for having you there. We are so lucky to have such wonderful  members of our MPS community!

Thanks as well to all the MPS staff who helped to make sure the day was a success and jumped in to help with lots of different requests on the day. Our students are very lucky to have such wonderful teachers and support staff!

And finally, the all important scores from the day! Congratulations to Acacia on winning the Athletics Shield for 2026.

  1. Acacia - 10112 points
  2. Grevillea - 8843 points
  3. Eucalyptus - 8778 points
