Welcome to Careers and Pathways for 2026!

We are only in Week 3 and already so much has been happening.

This week, our Year 10 students were introduced to our Year 10 Creating Futures Program which includes Work Experience for all Year 10s. In the past we have had students go to a range of businesses, companies and sites across Tasmania – and even the mainland!

Year 10 families will receive further communication this week about the Work Experience timeline.

If you are an employer who is keen to have a student for Work Experience, please reach out. It is as rewarding for the employer as it is for the student!

University Clinical Aptitude Test – UCAT

For Year 12 students looking to sit the UCAT in 2026 for entry into a range of Medical and Allied Health pathways, please note the booking dates are fast approaching.

To avoid signing up late, keep note that bookings open on March 3rd and close May 15th.

Gap Year Information Session

Each year we see a number of our Year 12s interested in taking a gap year and working abroad. This certainly takes a lot of planning and preparation so if you are thinking this could be an option, I highly suggest you look into resources like New Ventures Worldwide:

Students considering a structured gap year after school are invited to attend a free online information session with New Ventures Worldwide. The session will outline supported volunteering placements in Spain, Canada and the UK, including safety, programme structure and the application process.
