A Friendly Reminder for Visitors to Our Campuses

As a College, we value the strong partnership we share with our families and it is always a pleasure to welcome parents and carers onto our campuses. Whether attending meetings, supporting events or simply dropping something in for your son, we appreciate the time you take to engage with our community.

As a friendly reminder, all parents and visitors are required to sign in at the Front Office upon arrival at either campus. This process is an important part of our safeguarding procedures and helps ensure we always know who is on site, supporting the safety and wellbeing of all students and staff.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our College community.

Students Remaining on Campus

We ask families to please speak with their son about the importance of remaining on campus once they arrive at the College. This helps ensure that all students are safe and accounted for while they are in our care. This includes the time between morning drop off and the beginning of Pastoral Care. Students should remain on site and make their way to appropriate supervised areas until the school day formally begins.

We appreciate your support in reminding your son of this expectation and in helping us maintain a safe and well supervised environment for all students at the College.

Linewize Connect

At the beginning of Week 5, the College launched Linewize Connect across student devices at our Senior School. This initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring that technology is used safely, responsibly and in ways that enhance learning outcomes for all students.

Linewize Connect provides a number of important benefits for students and families, including:

  • Supporting safe and appropriate online behaviour by helping guide students toward responsible digital choices
  • Assisting in maintaining learning focus by reducing distractions and promoting productive device use during school hours
  • Strengthening our ability to safeguard students through improved monitoring and management of online activity on College devices.

As part of being transparent with our community, it is important to note that Linewize Connect provides the College with increased visibility of how student devices are being used. This visibility allows staff to ensure that devices are supporting learning, aligned with College expectations, and being used in ways that promote student wellbeing and digital safety. Junior School will launch this program later this term and communication will be sent prior to the launch.

This launch represents one step in our broader digital wellbeing strategy. We will be introducing additional platforms in the near future, including Qustodio, which will further strengthen the partnership between home and school in supporting safe and positive online habits. Further communication will be sent to families as these tools are prepared for rollout.

In the meantime, please refer to the links below regarding these exciting advancements in how we use electronic devices at the College:

We appreciate your ongoing support as we continue to work together to create a safe, supportive and learning-focused digital environment for all students.

Open Day

I would like to second Mr Franzin’s message regarding our student leaders following Open Day. Our Year 9 Peer Support Leaders and Year 10 Leaders represented themselves and our College with great pride.

It was wonderful to see the boys engaging warmly with visiting families and speaking confidently about their experiences at the College. Many students stepped outside their comfort zone, and the maturity and courage they showed in doing so was remarkable.
