Year 10 Interviews

What are your dreams? What are your ambitions? What are your plans to get there?

These are but some of the questions Mr Franzin and I will be discussing with all Year 10s over the coming weeks. Assessing and measuring their successes, and the challenges associated with Year 9, and formulating a plan for how they intend to tackle Year 10.

What is important to note is what are you passionate about and how we can support you to get where you want to be. We should encourage our boys to shoot for the stars and not accept the easy and/or mediocre option. They deserve more than this and we, as teachers, want to continue to challenge our young men to be their best versions.

I was delighted to read the below article on past student Alex Peroni SVC 2015 who has been steadfast in continuing to follow his Formula One dream. Similarly, all our students have their talents and interests. When these talents and interests are honed and supported through routine and commitment, and seeking out support and guidance, anything is possible — and Alex is an example of this.

VET Evening

My thanks to the Year 11 and 12 parents who attended our VET information evening last Tuesday night. A great opportunity to discuss the guidelines and protocols around completing a VET pathway. I do encourage parents and carers to reach out to our VET Team as we journey through with any further support as required.

Mr Richard Cowlard - VET Coordinator

Mr Barry Maxwell – Automotive

Mr Aaron Lucas – Hospitality and Cookery

Mr Matthew Dyson – Construction

As the boys will attest, I love a good quote. Some food for thought from Confucius.
