Silly Sock Day
On Wednesday the 18th, our Grade 1/2 students proudly took part in Silly Sock Day to celebrate Neurodiversity Week. The classroom was filled with colour, creativity and fun as students wore their brightest and most unique socks. This special day was a wonderful opportunity to recognise that everyone’s brain works differently, and to celebrate the diverse ways we think, learn and experience the world. We are proud to support and value these differences within our classroom community.
English
In English, students have been exploring the text Fish is Fish, focussing on identifying character traits and key events. They then created their own story maps to help sequence and organise the structure of a narrative. It has been fantastic to see students developing their understanding of how stories are structured and building confidence in retelling events in order.
