Social Media Age Restrictions Hub

eSafety has established a social media age restrictions hub for educators, parents and carers and students to navigate the ban that came into effect on 10 December last year. It includes:

  • frequently asked questions on what has changed and how it affects under 16s
  • guidance for parents and carers including conversation starters and get-ready guides
  • practical advice for educators on what this means for schools
  • youth-friendly content, downloadable action plans and support pathways.

eSafety has partnered with Be You, headspace, Kids Helpline, ReachOut and 13Yarn to ensure mental health support is available. Please consider ensuring your staff and students are aware of and able to contact these support services if needed.

Spike in Influenza A Cases

Our school community reflects the same trend as the general community with a surge in Influenza A numbers. Whilst it is important that students prioritise attendance, families are asked to keep students with symptoms at home to avoid spreading influenza.
