Year 5 Band and Strings Program

In Week 5, our Grade Five cohort started on their instrumental music journey at Marist with the commencement of the Band and Strings Immersion Program. 195 boys were given their first lesson on their instrument. We hope this is the beginning of a long connection with music during their time at Marist and beyond. Rehearsals are also well underway for the Year 5 musical ‘Dig It!’. We are very much looking forward to seeing the boys perform in Term 2.

Head of College Tour

The College will be running a Head of College Tour on Friday of Week 6, Term 1. Ensembles involved include Big Band 1, String Duo and String Quartet. Arrival and performance times are listed below. Please be reminded that performers will be required to wear their full winter uniform. 

School of Rock - Whole Cast Rehearsal This Sunday

I am delighted to announce that casting is complete for our college musical, School of Rock, and rehearsals commenced last week. Our first “whole cast” rehearsal will be this coming Sunday, 8th of March. The buzz around the college has been palpable and the production team cannot wait to see the amazing things this stellar cast of students will do. 

Further information will be forthcoming for cast members to get ready for rehearsal this Sunday.

Please be reminded that there are music photos for all ensembles playing at the Premier Ensembles Concert (Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra 1, Chamber Strings, Chamber Choir, Guitar Orchestra 1, Percussion Ensemble 1 and Big Band 1).
