As a former parent at BBPS, what stands out to you in your children’s time here?

My eldest child started prep in 2012 with Miss Robinson (now Mrs Ancrum) as his class teacher!  Not being from Melbourne, I found the school community very welcoming and inclusive, with many opportunities as a parent to be involved and contribute. My children had many opportunities to participate in all aspects of school life, from sports to performing arts and leadership roles with teachers that supported and encouraged them. Being a smaller school gave us the sense that our children were known personally and cared for by all staff members. They have formed many lasting friendships from their time at BBPS, as have I! 

What does our school community mean to you?

I enjoy getting to know all the students and their families and working with the wonderful office staff.  As a staff member and past parent, I appreciate the time and effort that the school community puts into events and activities for the students, and I get to see firsthand their excitement and how much joy and energy this brings to the school.

What do you love about BBPS?

We are a small school community which encourages respect for each other. This nurtures strong friendships between students, staff and parents.  Our friendships enable us to support each other as we learn together.  

If you could have dinner with any person, past or present, who would it be and what be and what would you ask them?

Barack Obama  - 44th President of the United States. I would ask him: What was your inspiration to want to be President?
