💛 R U OK? Day at GIHS 💛

Today, Glen Innes High School came together to recognise R U OK? Day — a reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference.

Throughout the day, our students and staff took part in activities designed to encourage connection, kindness and looking out for one another. Our CLAN groups created positive messages of support, while students had the opportunity to get involved in our individual and group photo competition.

There was plenty of fun as well, with pancakes, lollipops, music and a very competitive handball game — with even our Principal stepping onto the court! 🥞🍭🎶🏐

Beyond the activities, today was about an important message: you don’t need to be an expert to check in with someone. Sometimes simply asking “Are you OK?” and taking the time to listen can be the start of a meaningful conversation.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the day and to our students and staff who got involved, shared messages of support and helped create such a positive atmosphere across our school.
