Art News
We submitted 18 entries created by our Newman visual art students over the weekend to NAIDOC Week art competition organised by Placemaking NSW, Sydney Learning Adventures and The Rocks Discovery Museum Sydney.
The theme for 2025 NAIDOC Week is 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy'
This year's theme celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.
Winners of each category will receive a certificate and a book, and an invitation to a special award ceremony. All entries will be displayed at The Rocks Discovery Museum and on The Rocks Discovery Museum website from 1 - 31 July 2025 in celebration on NAIDOC Week (6-13 July). Winners will be selected by Student Learning Adventures, The Rocks Discovery Museum and an Aboriginal community representative.
Good luck, St Pat!!
