SSV Senior District Basketball Competition

It was quite challenging to select our team to represent the school at the SSV District Basketball competition next term with many skillful and talented students to choose to be in the team.

Selection for both teams will be based on the students skills and teamwork displayed within the Physical Education basketball unit of learning. Another factor in the selection will be team cohesion and position as well.

Well done to the students listed below who have the great opportunity to represent St Simon in the basketball teams! Hopefully they will be successful as they compete next term on Monday 22nd July at the State Basketball Centre.

Parents will receive an Operoo permission form

Training will be provided for our two school representative SSV District teams. Dates of the training are outlined below. Some training sessions will be conducted during the school day. We are attempt to trial an after school training session and hope your child is able to attend this session.

BASKETBALL VICTORIA SENIOR HOOP TIME COMPETITION

For all Year 5 and 6 parents, there will be the opportunity for your child to represent St Simon in the  Senior Hoop Time competition on Monday 26th August.

This competition is separate from the SSV pathway, run by Basketball Victoria.

It will involve ALL Year 5 and 6 students placed into teams in either an All Star, Future Star or Rookie competition with the opportunity to demonstrate and celebrate the skills learnt from the Physical Education basketball program in a fun yet competitive environment involving other primary schools including St Simon.
