Kitchen

It’s Week 8 already and the kitchen is bursting with Christmas joy! The Christmas tree is up, the decorations are shining and the whole kitchen smells like cinnamon, chocolate and festive cooking. There is so much excitement in the air — it truly is the best time of the year!
Grade 1 – Pretzel Wreaths
Our Grade 1's have been in the kitchen making the cutest pretzel wreaths. They loved creating their shapes, decorating them and seeing their Christmas treats come to life. Lots of sticky fingers and lots of smiles!
Grade 3 – Upside-Down Gingerbread Reindeers
Grade 3 students had a great time making upside-down gingerbread men that turned into the most adorable reindeers! Such a fun Christmas activity, the results were too cute to eat (but they did anyway!).
Grade 5 – Garden Stir-Fry and Homemade Burgers for Lunch
Some Our Grade 5s cooked a tasty stir fry using fresh broccoli straight from our school garden. They enjoyed it for lunch and loved seeing the garden produce they helped grow become part of their meal.
Others made homemade burgers packed with delicious fresh fillings. The students worked together beautifully, cooked safely and enjoyed sitting down to eat their creations for lunch.
Grade 5 – Choc Chip Cookies
The kitchen smelled AMAZING as Grade 5s baked choc chip cookies! They learnt how to cream butter and sugar, measure ingredients carefully and bake with confidence. Warm cookies + happy students = the perfect Christmas cooking day.
Finishing Christmas Puddings & Relish
Our Grade 5s have now finished making their Christmas plum puddings and tomato relish. These will be lovely gifts to take home — made with love, teamwork and lots of festive spirit.
Kids in the Kitchen – Christmas Chocolates & Pretzel Wreaths
The Kids in the Kitchen group have also been celebrating with Christmas cooking!
They made chocolates and pretzel wreaths they had such a fun time creating sweet Christmas treats to take home.
The kitchen is filled with excitement as we count down the last weeks of the year. So proud of all our young chefs — the Christmas spirit is alive and cooking!
