Principal Report

It has been a busy couple of weeks, and we are well and truly into the swing of Term 4. It’s hard to believe there are only three weeks to go! As the Principal Team continues to visit classrooms, it is wonderful to see that even at this time of year, our students remain busy little learners - engaged, enthusiastic and committed to their activities. Their energy and love of learning continues to shine.

Maths Incursion

Last week, our students participated in an engaging and exciting maths incursion run by Felstead Education. Our Prep - Grade 2 students enjoyed a maths show, while our Grade 3 - 6 students took part in a Maths Amazing Race around the school. A big thank you to Miss Sutherland for organising this special learning opportunity, which sparked curiosity and mathematical thinking across all year levels.

Oatlands Clay Exhibition

A huge congratulations to Mrs Derfi, Mrs Shave and all of our students for their incredible effort in bringing the 2025 OPS Clay Exhibition to life. Every student worked hard to create a unique masterpiece, resulting in a bright, colourful and creative display that truly showcased the talent across our school. Classes loved exploring the exhibition, and it was wonderful to see so many families from our Oatlands community visiting and celebrating the students’ work.

Dance Production

Dance Production rehearsals continue to be in full swing. Students have shown fantastic commitment as they learn and refine their dance routines.  The excitement is building as we get closer to our performance on the 12th of December. We can’t wait to see all their hard work come together on stage.

John Armao Leadership and Resilience Hike

This week, Mr Holloway, Mr Kenny, Ms Morgan and Mrs Carmichael accompanied 12 of our outstanding student leaders on the annual John Armao Leadership and Resilience Hike at Wilson’s Promontory. Over 40km of hiking, facing the elements and camping overnight, our students demonstrated resilience, teamwork and determination. They returned tired but proud, rewarded with stunning landscapes, strong friendships and a huge sense of achievement. We are incredibly proud of each of them. Well done!

End of Year Celebrations

2025 has been a fantastic year, with our students continuing to demonstrate the Oatlands Values in their learning and behaviour every day. As we move into the final weeks of term 4, our students will enjoy a range of end of year celebrations including movies, bowling, park visits, special lunches, class parties and game days. It is a very exciting time of year, and we look forward to celebrating all their achievements together.

Looking forward to a busy and exciting final 3 weeks!
