Book Week & Literacy

Book Week 2026

We are excited to share that Book Week is just around the corner! 

In Week 7, we will be celebrating the joy of reading with a range of fun and engaging activities across the school.

To kick off the week, we will be holding our much-loved Book Week Parade on Monday 24th August at 9am, on the oval (or hall if it rains). All students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character, bring along their book and join in the celebration. Families are warmly welcome to attend, grab a coffee from the coffee cart and cheer on our creative and courageous readers as they showcase their costumes. 

On Tuesday 25th August, students will participate in an online workshop with singer-songwriter Josh Pyke at 10:00 am.

Classrooms will host a variety of literacy activities throughout the week, all inspired by this year's theme, "Symphony of Stories."

We'll wrap up the week on Friday with our relaxed 'Stop, Drop and Read' session - students are welcome to bring a soft toy and/or blanket to settle in for some cosy reading time.

We look forward to seeing you at the parade and thank you for your continued support in fostering a love of reading in our school community.

Premiers Reading Challenge

We have 30 days left to complete the Premiers Reading Challenge.  This initiative will run until Friday 4th September. 

The Challenge encourages children and students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online. It’s wonderful to see so many students registered and recording their books!

A reminder to keep reading and logging your efforts. Students who complete the challenge will get a signed certificate from the Premier.
