School Closure Day

A reminder that Friday 14 August is a school closure day while our staff undertake professional learning. The focus of the day will be Mental Health in Primary Schools training, providing staff with practical skills and processes to support students, colleagues and members of our community who may be experiencing mental health challenges.

Sporting Success

Congratulations to our Year 5–6 Mixed A Netball Team, who won the Divisional Championships and will now progress to the Regional Championships. This is an outstanding achievement, and we are incredibly proud of the team. We wish them all the best at the next level.

We also wish our Year 5–6 Boys Soccer Team the very best as they compete in the Beachside Region Soccer Tournament at Kingston Heath on Monday. We know they will represent St Mary’s with great skill, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Battle of the Boots

The Battle of the Boots will take place on Saturday 22 August. 

This year, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 students will have the opportunity to play in two junior matches commencing from 1:00 pm. Boys and girls are all welcome, and students do not need to have a dad playing in the main game to participate. Please refer to the information sent to families via nForma if your child would like to play.

The Battle of the Boots is a major fundraiser for our school, and we would love to see as many families there as possible. Hopefully, the trophy will be making its way back to St Mary’s!

Production Tickets

Tickets are selling quickly for our upcoming production of Aladdin Junior at St Leonard’s College. There are now limited seats remaining for the 6:00 pm performance, while the matinee is also selling well. Please book soon to avoid missing out on what promises to be an amazing production featuring our talented St Mary’s students.

Footy Colours Day

To coincide with our Father’s Day celebrations, breakfast and Mass, we will hold Footy Colours Day on Friday 4 September. Students are invited to come dressed in the colours of their favourite football team as we approach the AFL finals. 

We look forward to seeing plenty of team colours around the school—and hopefully lots of black and white!

Baby News!

Welcome, Baby Louie!

Congratulations to Bianca Ludeman and her partner, Matt, on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Louie James, born on 5 August at 7:53 am.

We wish Bianca, Matt and their family all the very best as they enjoy this special time together. We cannot wait to meet Louie!
