New Staff Spotlight

The College is delighted to welcome many new staff members this year! It has been wonderful getting to know them and seeing them become part of our community. Throughout the term, we’ll be introducing them to you!

Mrs Eartha Sobolewski - Year 1 SLSO

Hi, my name is Eartha Sobolewski and I am excited to be the new Student Learning Support Officer (SLSO) for year 1! I facilitate the MiniLit programme, and support student learning in other areas generally, as well as helping the teachers continue to do their valuable work by assisting with any tasks in the classroom.

My husband and I have six beautiful children who are 5 to 19 years old. God has blessed us most bountifully, and now, with my youngest daughter Elise starting Kindergarten, I have an opportunity to share some of what I have learned over these last 20 years of raising children with the beautiful children in our school community. I, in turn, am also learning a lot in this role! Some things will always remain, however: that given the right environment, young children are eager to learn about the world around them, that they have an innate sense of wonder, and that they know how much God loves them. As a parent of children at this school, I feel that the Wagga Wagga Christian College provides this for the students here, and with God’s grace, I hope to do this in the small way that I can.

My family and I attend St Michael’s Cathedral, and we all love music (especially praise!), art, sports and books. My husband is a scientist, and we all love science too. God bless!

Mr Richard Ball - Secondary English Teacher

I'm very pleased to be back at the College this year! Now in a part-time capacity, I began teaching here full time in 2014. Over the last few years, my wife Kate and I have been stirred to serve the Lord in ministry and now pastor the Tree of Life Church in Junee, where we live. Our four children are students at the College, and with Kate commencing a role with the Admin team here, we have plenty to smile about!
