Green Team

After spending time during Activity Week rejuvenating the old garden beds at Elisabeth Murdoch College late last year, the Green Team has returned from the holidays to a thriving and productive sustainable garden.

Since coming back, students have been busy maintaining the garden beds, removing weeds, and harvesting their first crop of fresh vegetables, which were proudly supplied to the school kitchen.

Did you know that growing your own vegetables at home reduces your food miles: the distance food travels from where it is grown to your plate. Reducing food miles helps lower your carbon footprint and conserve water, making homegrown produce a great choice for both your health and the environment.
