St Mary’s Sacramental Program

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is aimed at students in Grade 2, as well as families who may have missed celebrating the sacrament in a previous year.

The Sacramental Program is now fully parish based, with families working alongside the parish to support children in preparing for the sacraments. As part of their preparation for Reconciliation, students will complete a “Forgiveness Is” reflection poster at home with their families. This activity encourages important conversations about forgiveness, saying sorry, making amends and understanding that God’s love and forgiveness are always present in our lives.

The posters can be collected from the parish foyer or from the school office.

Eucharist and Confirmation are now facilitated through the “Live Your Christian Life” program, which was introduced last year. This program supports families in continuing their child’s faith journey within the parish community.

Please refer to the original letter sent home to families with students in Grade 2 and above for more information.

Catholic Education Week Mass

As part of Catholic Education Week, students and staff from Sacred Heart Primary School, St Mary’s School, St Brendan’s Primary School and some representatives from Trinity College, will come together on Thursday to celebrate Mass as a wider Catholic community at St. Mary's Church.

This special celebration is an opportunity for our three Catholic primary schools to gather in faith, prayer and unity, recognising the shared values that connect us. Catholic Education Week reminds us of the importance of belonging, service and hope. We look forward to celebrating alongside the wider Colac Catholic community.
