Student Achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Congratulations to Joey Bush (Year 9) on his recent success at the national U16 championships in Hobart, emerging as equal top goal scorer with 11 goals, including two hat tricks, and Tasmania’s MVP.

 

In addition to this success, his selection in the Australian U16 squad is an amazing achievement. We are so proud of his efforts and his dedication both on and off the field.

Congratulations to Alex Stephens (Year 10) on his recent success at the 2026 Australian Open, Australian MC Age and Australian Age Swimming Championships

 

Alex broke the Tasmanian long course record for U15 Boys Freestyle with a time of 24.27 and then 24.26.

Congratulations to Adnan Saifullah (Year 8), who recently prepared for and participated in the Rostrum Voice of Youth Southern Regional Final, held at The Friends’ School on Saturday 9 May.

 

Adnan displayed great enthusiasm and commitment in preparing, rehearsing and presenting a speech on the topic “Special Moments”, to present to the panel of three judges and audience members, in addition to a short speech. Adnan represented the College with distinction, also being a deserving winner of the runner-up award in his section of the Competition. Well done, Adnan!

Congratulations to Eloise McKinlay (Year 8) who recently represented the Southern Tas team and competed in Round 2 of the Golf Australia (Tas) Junior Match Play Series at Pittwater Golf Club

 

Eloise also won her individual match in an amazing effort. Well done Eloise!

Congratulations to Jed Burgess (Year 11) on his selection to represent Australia and compete in the U16/U18 Gridiron Nationals to be held in New Zealand. 

Well done Jed on such an exciting achievement!

Congratulations to Angus Viney (Year 7) on his selection to represent Tasmania at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships that were held in Brisbane from 8–19 April 2026.

 

The Championships hosted over 3,000 athletes from Under 12 to Under 18 age groups across four venues. The tournament provided a valuable experience, allowing students to compete alongside peers from across Tasmania and against strong teams from around Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The tournament provided a high level of competition, with players gaining important skills and insights, making the experience both memorable and enriching. 

 

Well done on this amazing effort Angus!

Well done to Felix Murray (Year 10) on his recent efforts in representing Tasmania at the U16 Boys Hockey Team at the recent Championships.
