2026 Education Perfect Championship Success

The Languages Department was proud to celebrate the achievements of our Chinese and German students at this week’s assembly, where we welcomed Ryan from Education Perfect to personally acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our students in the 2026 Education Perfect Championship.

The Education Perfect Championship is a global online competition that encourages students to develop their language skills through engaging learning activities and challenges. Students earn points by completing tasks in reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar and cultural understanding, while competing against thousands of students from around the world. The competition not only promotes academic excellence but also rewards perseverance, consistency and a growth mindset.

In today’s interconnected world, language learning is more important than ever. Learning another language helps students develop communication skills, intercultural understanding and global awareness. It opens doors to future study, travel and career opportunities, while also fostering empathy, curiosity and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds. Through learning languages, students gain valuable skills that prepare them to thrive in an increasingly global society.

This year’s championship attracted 1,622 schools worldwide, making The Gap State High School’s achievements particularly impressive. Our students demonstrated exceptional commitment and enthusiasm, resulting in the following outstanding achievements:

  • 16th place globally
  • 9th place in Australia (out of 1,097 schools)
  • 1st place in German worldwide (out of 620 schools)
  • 3rd place overall in Queensland (out of 237 schools)

Collectively, our students answered an incredible 440,961 questions, earned 185,493 points, and dedicated 730 hours to language learning throughout the competition.

A special congratulations goes to Stanley M, who achieved an outstanding 4th place individual ranking, placing him among the highest-performing students in the competition.

Students were recognised across a range of achievement levels, from Credit and Bronze through to Silver, Gold, Emerald and Elite awards. These awards reflect the dedication, resilience and commitment our students demonstrated throughout the championship.

Our success is a testament not only to the hard work of our students, but also to the passion and expertise of our Languages teachers, who continually inspire students to embrace the challenge and rewards of learning another language.

We congratulate all students who participated in this year’s championship and thank Ryan and the Education Perfect team for joining us to celebrate these achievements. We look forward to continuing to build a culture of language learning, global citizenship and excellence at The Gap State High School.

Congratulations to all award recipients and participants on this remarkable achievement!
