Year 5 Gisborne Secondary College Visit

On Wednesday the 2nd of July the Year Fives went on an excursion to Gisborne Secondary College, to have a feeling of what high school is like.

Firstly, we went on a bus to the high school with Mount Macedon Primary School. When we got there, we were surprised to see that Willowbank Primary School was also there. At Gisborne Secondary we had three classes that we attended. Humanities, Drama and Science.

In humanities we learnt about Marco Polo and if he made it to China or not, and in Drama we learnt about one of the scenes of the play Gisborne Secondary are having in August, Into the Woods.

In science we were finding the acidity of different objects by mixing different samples with all of the liquids that we had so we could find out the pH of the liquids.

At recess we got donuts and hot chocolates, and at lunch time we could go to the gym. After lunch we returned to Macedon.
