Monday, 9 February and Wednesday, 11 February

Continuing the busy start to the year, it was fantastic this week to see all students from Year 7-10 taking part in our annual PCG swimming carnivals. Seeing so many students push themselves to get out of their comfort zone and compete with their PCG brothers was inspiring and the PCG rivalries were as intense as ever!

There were too many impressive swims to mention but for a college that prides itself on nurturing ‘Men for Others’ it was fantastic to see the camaraderie amongst all students and particularly the new Year 7’s, especially when they were chanting students names as they swam down the pool.

Special thanks to Miss Adelaide Garland (PSA Swimming Coach) for her support in organising students for the timing of events and my sincere gratitude goes to the many pastoral, administrative, grounds and Physical Education staff involved for their dedication and teamwork in ensuring the carnivals ran smoothly. It was great to see so many parents at our carnivals, particularly for the Year 7’s, and we look forward to recreating these memorable occasions for students and families later this year and beyond.

On Monday 9 February during Periods 5&6, the Year 8s took part in their annual swimming carnival. In the week leading up to the event there was frantic allocation of events, before school training and not to mention everyone’s wish to beat 8.1, after their victory in 2025.

The afternoon was filled with plenty of healthy competition, encouragement and joy, as the boys all did themselves incredibly proud. Congratulations to 8.8 for taking home the cup by a tiny 2 points!!

Thanks to the amazing Year 8 PCG team, the TC Phys Ed staff and all the Senior School helpers for making the afternoon such a success!

Head of Year 8 | Media and Information Technology Teacher

TCRC Fund-A-Breakfast

The TC Rowing Club (TCRC) is one of the College’s largest and most active ‘friends of’ groups, which supports numerous aspects of the rowing program. This includes the provision of breakfast items for rowers after training.

Understanding that time is precious, and it can sometimes be difficult to commit to volunteering for breakfast-provision services, the TCRC has developed another way to contribute… the ‘Fund-A-Breakfast’ program!

Funds raised will go towards the provision of breakfast for the rowers, which can include (but is not limited to) items such as oats, cereals, muffins, bacon and eggs, and other delicious goods.

Families are welcome to contribute as much or as little as they like, and as often as they like. All funds gratefully accepted.

  • $80 – Breakfast for a crew (9x persons)

  • $250 – Breakfast for a year level

  • $750 – Breakfast for the club

  • Other donation amount (starting from $50) – ‘make a breakfast’
