Year 11 & 12 Intervention, Extension and Pathways.

Welcome back to all our Year 11 and 12 students and families as we begin an exciting new school year. We hope everyone is settling in well, finding their routines, reconnecting with friends, and feeling ready for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

On the 12th of February we hosted a Parent/Guardian VCE/VCE-VM/VPC Information Night. Thanks for all who joined us! Please take the time to carefully read the 2025 ESC Handbook and reach out to the relevant team if you have any questions.

To mark the beginning of this year’s Monday Fun Day, Year 11 and 12 students gathered together for a relaxed picnic, enjoying good food, great company, and the chance to connect outside the classroom setting. The sunshine and shared laughter set the tone for what promises to be an exciting year ahead.

The following fortnight, the student leaders hosted a karaoke session. From classic throwbacks to current hits, there was no shortage of confidence, talent, and enthusiasm. Whether performing solo, in duos, or as part of an impromptu group, students embraced the moment and cheered each other on, creating a supportive and spirited atmosphere.

Monday Fun Days are designed to strengthen connections across the cohort, celebrate student voice, and create positive shared experiences throughout the year. If our first events are anything to go by, 2026 is set to be full of energy and community spirit.

We now look forward to our upcoming student-hosted game show — an event already generating plenty of buzz. Stay tuned for more fun, laughter, and memorable moments as our Monday Fun Days continue!

Our Intervention Programs:

Our commitment to supporting every student’s growth and success continues in 2026, with several key intervention and support programs running across the school.

Programs including QuickSmart, Learning Support, MYLNS and Hands on Learning are already making a positive impact.

Together, these programs reflect our strong commitment to early intervention, personalised learning pathways, and ensuring every student is equipped with the tools they need to thrive in 2026 and beyond.

Our VET Beauty Course is off to a fabulous start – and the energy has been nothing short of amazing! It’s wonderful to see everyone settling in so positively and embracing the hands-on nature of the course.

We’re especially excited to welcome students from neighbouring schools who have joined us to complete the course. It’s fantastic to see learners coming together, building new friendships, and sharing ideas across school communities.

We can’t wait to see how much our students achieve this year. If the first few weeks are anything to go by, it’s going to be a year full of style, skill-building, and success! 💅🌟

ACE Program:

The extension of our ACE program is officially underway for 2026, bringing with it a range of exciting new opportunities designed to challenge and inspire our high-ability learners.

This year, students involved in ACE will have the opportunity to participate in an internal debating competition, providing a platform to sharpen their critical thinking, public speaking, and persuasive writing skills. The competition will encourage students to engage deeply with contemporary issues, construct well-reasoned arguments, and confidently articulate their ideas in a supportive yet competitive environment.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to engage with the Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP). This initiative offers high-ability students access to advanced learning experiences designed to provide academic challenge and enrichment in English and Mathematics

With debating, external enrichment opportunities, and further extension activities on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be a dynamic and rewarding year for our ACE students.

The start of a new year always brings a sense of possibility, and we look forward to working in partnership with you to make 2026 a positive, productive, and rewarding experience for every student.
